Tell us a little about yourself!

Dr. Duh earned her Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from the University of California Santa Cruz in 2014. Dr. Duh is currently an associate professor in the Psychology department at San José State University, in addition to being part of the adjunct faculty pool at San Francisco State University (2011-2013, 2019). Her research interests include early social and emotional development (0–5 years of age) and cross-cultural work. Dr. Duh specializes in using mixed methods for individual and program assessments, with the aim to examine development across ages and in varying sociocultural contexts. For example, from 2017 to 2020, Dr. Duh co-directed the assessment team for a multi-year museum intervention program to support Head Start children’s development in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. The assessment team identified and analyzed a range of quantitative and qualitative developmental measures to examine child, parent, and teacher outcomes as they may be related to the intervention program.
